The University Canteen is an integral part of the basic infrastructure of the university. Located in a separate building in close proximity of the Administrative as well as the Academic Buildings, the canteen caters tiffin, lunch and snacks at student- friendly rates to students and employees from 10 AM to 6 PM. The standard of food, hygiene and service are monitored closely by the Canteen Committee formed for this purpose. The Committee has representatives from all segments of university community- students, officers, teachers and members of the non-teaching staff. The Committee meets regularly and keeps a close vigil on the canteen to ensure that the standards are maintained. Food for seminars and meetings are also provided by the canteen. Engagement of new service provider in the canteen through e-tender is in process.
