Vision of the Department

The Department aims to appeal to the vast sections of underprivileged, marginalised boys and girls who thought of establishing themselves. This journey has its own purpose and an underlined ‘vision’ which can be fulfilled with better and more student academic involvement in the Paschim Burdwan region. This is the sole vision of the Department of History of Kazi Nazrul University. This academic participation has to be extended to the extent of creating an international academic exchange network that could be facilitated by the Department of History. The faculty members of the Department are giving their heartiest efforts to achieve this aim.

Mission of the Department

The primary aim of the department is to translate the vision into reality; the Department is committed to achieve the above mention future plans. The Department aims to develop critical thinking and creative ideas .The students are to be infused with a sense of holistic academic approach that may outreach the boundaries of syllabus -centric study. The Department also is determined to create a bridge between the national, regional, and international levels of studies. This has to be achieved by the constant exchange of academic programmes between the two different levels of education. The Department in fact tries to develop an ambiance of a flexible knowledgeable network through sharing a better communicative approach. It boasts a better student-teacher relationship for advanced reciprocating communication. Apart from this, the Department not only strives to achieve better syllabus centric studies but also to encourage the students for competitive examinations. The Department also aims to combine teaching, learning, and research for motivating the students and scholars in a better way for original and critical research.
