"Resolution(i): Resolution C.4.(i)of the previous meeting held on March 13, 2020 be modified as: The proposal for amendment of Regulations of M Phil, Ph D and Integrated M Phil-PhD Courses of the University be approved with the following modification:

  • Regulation 19.9: The Examiners of the Viva Voce shall jointly submit a report to the Registrar on the performance of the candidate at the said examination clearly indicating whether the candidate deserves to be admitted to the PhD degree. If the candidate fails to satisfy the examiners at the viva voce, the candidate shall be allowed by the Vice Chancellor to appear again at a viva voce after a period of 3 (three) months from the date of the first viva voce.
  • Regulation 19.10: On successful defence of the thesis in the viva voce examination, all the evaluation reports shall be submitted to the Honourable Vice Chancellor by the Registrar. The Vice Chancellor will give his approval on the recommendation of the Examiners. The date of the final viva-voce will be the date of the provisional award of the degree. Consequently, the list of awardees will be placed in the Executive Council for the final conferment of the degree, and confirmed."
